A point of sale that knows which room the guest is in

NeoSuite POS runs every outlet on the property: menus and prices per outlet, orders from a tablet, settlement by cash, card or room charge to the guest's folio, kitchen display for the pass, and a cash drop to the bank that posts its own journal.

How does a restaurant bill reach the guest's room?

The cashier picks the guest from the in-house list; the bill posts to that folio as a room charge with the outlet and time. It appears on the guest's tax invoice at checkout, itemised. Cash and card sales bypass the folio and post directly to the ledger: revenue, service charge and TGST to their own accounts.

Where do POS sales show up in the accounts?

  • Every cash or card settlement creates a journal entry: Cash on Hand or Bank against F&B Revenue, Service Charge Payable and TGST Payable.
  • Room-charge settlements wait on the folio and reach the ledger with the guest's invoice.
  • The Accounts home shows month-to-date sales, cash on hand, receivables and payables, so a manager sees outlet sales without opening a report.
  • A cash drop moves drawer cash to the bank in one action and books the transfer.

Yes. Outlet names, menus, items and prices are editable at any time by a user with POS management rights; existing bills keep the price they were sold at.

What about the kitchen?

Orders appear on a kitchen display in the order they were placed, by table or room, and are cleared from the pass when served. No printer required.

Questions on this topic

Does the POS work offline?

The app keeps working through short connection drops and syncs when the network is back; a bill is never lost mid-order.

Can a bill be split or voided?

A bill can be voided by a user with the void permission and the void is logged. Splits are handled by settling part to room and part to cash or card.

Is TGST included in menu prices?

You choose per outlet: menu prices can be shown inclusive of service charge and TGST, and the receipt still breaks the taxes out.
